TDI Intro to Tech

An introduction to technical diving and the pathway toward Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures. The course familiarizes divers with technical equipment configurations, refines open-water buoyancy, trim and situational awareness, and introduces advanced gas planning within a strictly no-decompression context. Enriched-air nitrox may be used within the diver’s current certification limits, and the course may be combined with Advanced Nitrox at the instructor’s discretion.

TDI Open Water Sidemount

Learn to use sidemounted primary cylinders safely as an alternative to a traditional back-mounted configuration. The course develops configuration, trim, gas-management and problem-solving skills and may be combined with other TDI programs, including Decompression Procedures, Extended Range, Trimix, Advanced Trimix and Advanced Wreck, provided all standards for both courses are met.

Advanced Nitrox

Extend your knowledge and practical use of enriched-air nitrox. The program develops a deeper understanding of EANx, oxygen exposure and gas selection, and prepares qualified divers to use enriched-air mixtures responsibly for dives to 40 metres / 130 feet, including limited decompression obligations within course and agency standards.

Decompression Procedures

Study the theory, methods and procedures required to plan and conduct staged decompression dives. Training covers dive planning, equipment configuration, decompression techniques, gas management and emergency procedures, and may be completed as a stand-alone course or combined with Advanced Nitrox where appropriate.

Advanced Nitrox + Decompression Procedures

A combined progression that integrates enriched-air and oxygen knowledge with the planning and execution of staged decompression dives. Students develop gas-selection, equipment, buoyancy, team and contingency skills through one coherent technical-training program.

Extended Range

Develop the planning discipline, equipment procedures and in-water control required to responsibly extend depth and decompression capability. The course emphasizes gas management, team protocols, emergency planning and precise execution in demanding open-water environments.

TDI Helitrox Diver

Examine the theory, methods and procedures for staged decompression diving with helium in the breathing mixture to reduce inert-gas narcosis. Learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum of 45 metres / 150 feet using enriched air and helium mixtures with no more than 35% helium, plus oxygen concentrations up to 100% for decompression.

TDI Trimix Diver

Expand your depth range while managing narcosis through the use of helium. Learn to plan and execute dives with breathing mixtures containing as little as 18% oxygen and an appropriate helium fraction for the planned depth, to a maximum of 60 metres / 200 feet.

TDI Advanced Trimix Diver

The highest level of open-circuit mixed-gas training in this pathway, designed for qualified divers progressing to depths as great as 100 metres / 330 feet with hypoxic breathing mixtures containing less than 17% oxygen. The program demands mature judgment, precise planning and disciplined execution. A dry suit is mandatory.

Open Water DPV

Learn to use a diver propulsion vehicle to cover underwater terrain efficiently while maintaining control, team awareness and a sound gas plan. Training addresses equipment preparation, positioning, communication, turn points, failures and responsible operation around reefs, wrecks and other open-water environments.

Plan for site, gas and equipment costs.

These items are quoted or paid separately because requirements vary by course, site and diver.

  • Cenote entrance fees: USD 15–30 per person, per day.
  • Oxygen, decompression gases and trimix where applicable.
  • Lunch, course manual or eLearning.
  • Personal scuba and cave-diving equipment.
  • Specialized equipment rental; CCR unit rental is USD 70 per day.
